Are you an unpublished poet aged 13-22 with a voice that needs to be heard? It’s time to seize your moment… Every Voice is excited to introduce it’s inaugural poetry competition, with prize donations from The Arvon Foundation, exclusively for poets like you. Entry is completely free.
The Arvon Foundation is a charity that runs creative writing courses, events and retreats both in-person and online. Their courses are tutored by leading authors and include a powerful mix of workshops and individual tutorials, with time and space to write, free from distractions of everyday life.
But this is more than just a competition– it's a journey. Every Voice wants to support your creative development every step of the way. Rejection sucks and I want to mitigate that feeling as much as possible…that’s why 6 unsuccessful poets will receive a FREE 30 minute online feedback session, selected at random.
Deadline: 1st November 2024.
This competition is STRICTLY for young poets from disadvantaged backgrounds, living or from North-West England. For example, LGBTQ+ communities, people with disabilities, ethnic minorities, working class people, women and girls, asylum seekers, care-leavers, and more.
Every Voice is thrilled to be partnered with the Arvon Foundation, who have donated a fully-funded place on one of their residential courses for the winner of the Overs’ category.
Please make sure to read the guidelines below to ensure your entry is not disqualified.

The competition is split into two categories: Unders (13-17) and Overs (18-22).
